Our Casino Croupier courses are trained by Shaun  (London Casino Manager) and Magdalena  (London Casino Inspector/Senior Cashier) with over 30 years experience in the international casino industry.

 

Shaun Barkus has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the casino industry spanning over 21 years and is well known in London Casinos for his very high standards. He is a natural born trainer with an easy going manner which suits trainees in any industry. Shaun began his career in the industry after completing his training in Durban 1993. He worked at Athlone Casino Durban, then moved onto London working at Napoleons Casino in Leicester Square as an Inspector 1999.

Shaun then moved up to the Mayfair Casinos working at Park Tower, Maxims and the Barracuda casinos. He then moved back to Durban in 2002 and was part of the original gaming team that opened Suncoast Casino. He then moved back to London where he started working as a Pit Boss at St. Giles Casino where he was promoted to Casino manager and was moved to the Golden Horseshoe Casino in London’s upmarket West End.

 

Magdalena Basak has been in the casino industry for 9 years and has excellent knowledge and understanding of the casino industry. She began her career in Poland, Lublin 2005 where she started as a trainee dealer quickly learning new games to improve her knowledge as a croupier.

She then moved to London 2007 started working at the Golden Horseshoe Casino in London’s West End, where she was promoted to Inspector after just 2 years. Then in 2010 she was offered a position in the cash desk which she accepted. This increased Magdalena’s knowledge in the industry where she gained experience in the cash desk and was promoted in 2013 to senior cashier.

 

 

 

 

By now, we have sense of what it takes to run a Casino and have decided that croupiers are the key to a successful floor in any Casino. With that in mind we have opened our first training school in Durban.
